Gold Coast Regions

Surfers Paradise

The famous glitz and glamour strip of the Gold Coast, Surfers Paradise offers some of the best swimming and surfing as well as a vibrant nightlife. Home to an impressive range of bars, restaurants and nightlife, Surfers also features bungee jumping, the annual Indy 500 and a wide range of attractions.

Family on Beach

South of Surfers, Broadbeach is one of the Gold Coast's fastest growing tourist destinations thanks to major shopping opportunities at Pacific Fair as well as the Conrad Jupiters Casino. Close to the beach, Broadbeach has no shortage of things to do including entertaining theatre restaurants.

Main Beach

Main Beach and Broadwater

Located in the Gold Coast's north, Main Beach is set on the Spit and offers one of the best beaches on the coast as well as plenty of designer boutiques, specialty stores, bars, cafes and restaurants. Tedder Avenue offers a contemporary atmosphere both day and night with a number of wine bars to catch up with friends and enjoy the views as you sip on your favourite drop.

Coolangatta Beach

Located in the very south of the Gold Coast, Coolangatta or 'Cooly' as it's known by the locals, is a pretty beachside town. A far more relaxed vibe than the main areas of the coast, Coolangatta is home to a wonderful range of cafes and bistros as well as Sunday markets where you can stroll along the beachfront, browse a charming range of local handicrafts and perhaps even pick up a souvenir.

Sanctuary Cove

Sanctuary Cove Aerial

Located north of Surfers Paradise, Sanctuary Cove is the first completely integrated tourist resort in Australia. Set on 474 hectares, the resort is surrounded by the Coomera River's picturesque man-made harbours. Home to a Marine Village, Sanctuary Cove boasts a fantastic range of facilities including specialty stores, a number of dining options, a health and fitness centre as well as 2 championship golf courses.

Mermaid Beach

Mermaid Beach is located south of Broadbeach and enjoys an illustrious reputation as home to some of the more prestigious beachfront real estate on the Gold Coast. As equally famous for its excellent surfing, the local surf club offers delicious meals served with a side of history. Pacific Fair is also just minutes away and offers some of the best and most diverse shopping on the coast.

Burleigh Heads

Burleigh Heads over Resort

Set midway between Surfers and 'Cooly', Burleigh Heads offers the best of both worlds. Enjoying a relaxed, family friendly holiday atmosphere, Burleigh offers uncrowded beaches with regular surf and athletics competitions. However the vibrant nightlife to the north is still just minutes away if you feel like a night on the town.

Gold Coast Hinterland

Binna Burra

Winding up from the beachside towns of the Gold Coast, the hinterland offers a stunning contrast of charming mountain villages and dense, tranquil rainforest. Often referred to as the 'green behind the gold', the hinterland offers antique shops, tea houses, art galleries, crafts, national parks and country pubs.
