How to get to Mermaid Beach

Located just south of Broadbeach, getting to Mermaid Beach is easy thanks to its reputation for prestigious luxury beachfront homes on Hedges Avenue, also famously known as ‘Millionaire’s Row’. To cater for this who’s who of residents, the region is also home to a great range of transport options, however getting to Mermaid Beach by car is easy whether you drive a Lamborghini or a Corolla.

Getting to Mermaid Beach from Brisbane takes just an hour south on the Pacific Motorway, before turning off at Nerang Broadbeach Road for the quick trip into Mermaid Beach. Alternatively, if you’re heading up from Ballina travel north for just under an hour and a half along the Pacific Motorway before following the Gold Coast Highway into Mermaid Beach.

If you’re visiting from interstate or overseas and will be flying into the Gold Coast, the airport is approximately 20 minutes from Mermaid Beach along the Gold Coast Highway. A number of carriers offer direct services into the Gold Coast including Tiger Airways, Jetstar, Virgin Australia and Air New Zealand.

Upon arriving at the airport, the central information desk offers assistance with any ongoing transport needs you might have including transfers, shuttles, taxis and car hire. A shuttle offers door-to-door pick up and drop off between the airport and nearby Mermaid Beach accommodation and there are also local bus services that depart the airport regularly, offering a more affordable option.
