Launceston Airport is a regional airport located on the outskirts of Launceston in Tasmania in the rural area of Western Junction, approximately 15km from the city centre. The fastest growing airport in Tasmania, the Launceston Airport is Tasmania's second busiest airport and is also a curfew-free airport. The airport is serviced by Virgin Australia, Jetstar, Sharp Airlines, Airlines of Tasmania, Australian Air Express and QantasLink. Virgin Australia operates flights daily to Sydney and Melbourne while Jetstar offers daily flights to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Having recently undergone expansion, the $20 million redevelopment is the largest in the airport's history and has now doubled the terminal size.
