Karratha Airport

Located in Karratha, Western Australia just 10km south of Dampier and 14km from central Karratha, the Karratha Airport is Western Australia's second busiest airport. Servicing approximately 675,207 passengers per annum, Karratha Airport is second only to the Perth Airport and the fly-in fly-out schedules of the region's burgeoning mining industry account for the majority of its traffic. The Karratha Airport is also located 240km southwest of the Port Headland International Airport.

Karratha Airport operates flights by a number of air carriers including Airnorth which services Port Headland, Broome and Darwin, Alliance Airlines servicing Perth, Qantas servicing Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, QantasLink servicing Perth, Virgin Australia servicing Perth and Virgin Australia Regional Airlines servicing Perth, Geraldton and Port Headland.

Karratha Airport is home to a convenient range of passenger facilities including ATMs, information desk, public phones, personal amenities such as toilets and parents rooms, a designated smoking section and disabled access. The airport is also home to Tien Tsin Inne café, a dining venue that also features a licensed bar facility. The café offers hot and cold drinks, light snacks and even souvenirs and magazines. There is an indoor dining area as well as a landscaped alfresco area where customers can choose to enjoy their refreshments.

There are also a convenient range of transport options available at Karratha Airport including taxi services, shuttle buses and a number of reputable car hire companies including Avis, Budget, Hertz and Thrifty. There are also onsite airport parking options including short term and long term parking. The short term car park is located right outside the front of the terminal and costs just $5 for 1 to 2 hours up to $25 for a whole day while the two long term car parks are located to the right of the terminal and right up the back behind the short term car park and rental cars. The long term car park costs $12 per day or $10 per day for up to $14 days, with every day thereafter charged at $8 per day.
