Honolulu International Airport

Located 5km northwest of the Oahu CBD, Honolulu International Airport is the gateway to Honolulu and Hawaii. One of the United States' busiest airports, Honolulu International Airport services more than 21 million passengers annually and continues to grow. The major hub of Hawaiian Airlines, Hawaii's largest airline, the airport offers inter-island flights as well as services to mainland USA and international flights to American Samoa, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, Tahiti and Taiwan.

The airport is home to three terminals with a fleet of buses, known as Wiki Wiki buses (Hawaiian for quick), providing transport between the three. The three terminals are divided into commuter, inter-island and main overseas categories. The commuter terminal occupies gates 62 to 80 and services smaller airlines and flights between the Hawaiian islands while the interisland terminal occupies gates 49 to 61 and services mainly interisland and USA mainland flights with a capacity for jet aircraft.

The main overseas terminal occupies gates 6 to 34 and services flights to domestic US destinations and international destinations. All the boarding gates of the main overseas terminal are for common use and are shared amongst all the airlines. Although this means they can change daily depending on the airline's needs, therefore no gates are actually assigned to specific airlines. However there are three separate concourses at the main overseas terminal and these are categorised as the Diamond Head concourse which occupies gates 6 to 11, the Central concourse which occupies gates 12 to 25 and the Ewa concourse which occupies gates 26 to 34.

There is also a range of hotels near Honolulu International Airport ranging from 2.5 to 5 stars including Aston Waikiki Beach Tower, Aulani A Disney Resort & Spa, Halekulani, Hilton Waikoloa Village, Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, Moana Surfrider Westin Resort Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa, The Royal Hawaiian, Grand Wailea Resort Hotel and Spa, Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki, The Fairmont Kea Lani Maui and many more.
