The Gold Coast Airport is a domestic and international airport located in the southern Gold Coast. Also known as Coolangatta Airport, the Gold Coast Airport is situated in Coolangatta just 25km from famous Surfers Paradise and approximately one hour from Queensland's capital city Brisbane. The only airport in Australia to be in two different time zones at once, the runway of the Gold Coast airport begins in Coolangatta but actually stretched over the border and into New South Wales as well.
