Cairns Airport

Cairns Airport is Australia's seventh busiest airport and is an international airport that is located 7km north of the Cairns CBD. Situated between Trinity Bay in the east and Mount Whitfield in the west, Cairns Airport is primarily serviced by Qantas, Jetstar and Virgin Australia air carriers as well as general aviation flights and a number of helicopter operations. The Cairns Airport offers flights to 44 domestic destinations and 20 international destinations and is considered the gateway to Far North and Tropical North Queensland. Cairns Airport is also used as a base for the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia and for the State Emergency Service's search and rescue helicopters.
